Premier Comp Mission Statement

Premier Comp is committed to the promotion of a safe and successful return to work by providing quality Case Management services and coordination of care through collaborative interaction between injured workers, employers and health care providers.

History

In 1995, HomeTown Health Network established Premier Comp, one of Ohio's first Managed Care Organizations (MCO) to assist self-insured employers in reducing costs and improving their Workers' Compensation administration. In 1997, the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation implemented the Health Partnership Program (HPP). HPP required state funded employers to select a certified MCO to medically manage their Workers' Compensation claims.

Located in Massillon, Ohio, Premier Comp is best described as a mid-sized MCO serving all 88 counties. Premier Comp is committed to quality services and is nationally accredited by URAC (American Accreditation HealthCare Commission) for Case Management.

From small, professional businesses to large, industrial operations, Premier Comp ensures injured employees receive prompt, expert medical care and early return to work. Ultimately, costs are controlled and lost time is significantly reduced yielding benefits to employers and employees.

Our staff includes clinicians certified in Case Management and Utilization Review. Nurse Case Managers work with injured workers, employers and healthcare providers to coordinate medical services and facilitate a safe and timely return to work.

Premier Comp partners with our employers to implement programs intended to positively impact the efficiency and effectiveness of their Workers' Compensation programs. Our focus is to provide quality services to employers and injured workers in order to reduce costs and facilitate safe and timely return to work.
